भारतीय वायु सेना में नौकरी की तैयारी कर रहे युवाओं के लिए Air Force Vacancy 2026 एक बड़ा अवसर है।
Indian Air Force ने AFCAT 02/2026 के तहत Flying Branch और Ground Duty Branches के लिए भर्ती प्रक्रिया जारी की है।
इस भर्ती के जरिए योग्य पुरुष और महिला उम्मीदवार Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer के रूप में Indian Air Force में शामिल हो सकते हैं।

Air Force Vacancy 2026 के तहत Indian Air Force AFCAT यानी Air Force Common Admission Test आयोजित करती है। AFCAT परीक्षा के माध्यम से उम्मीदवारों का चयन Flying Branch, Ground Duty Technical और Ground Duty Non-Technical Branches में किया जाता है। यह भर्ती उन युवाओं के लिए खास है जो defence sector में officer-level career बनाना चाहते हैं।

Vacancy Details
इस भर्ती में Flying Branch, Ground Duty Technical और Ground Duty Non-Technical Branches के लिए vacancies दी गई हैं। Branch-wise vacancies tentative हैं, यानी जरूरत के अनुसार इनमें बदलाव हो सकता है। कुल मिलाकर notification की branch-wise seat distribution के अनुसार लगभग 379 vacancies निकलती हैं।
Flying Branch में पुरुष और महिला दोनों उम्मीदवारों के लिए SSC entry के तहत अवसर दिए गए हैं। Ground Duty Technical Branch में Aeronautical Engineer Electronics और Aeronautical Engineer Mechanical posts शामिल हैं। Ground Duty Non-Technical Branch में Weapon Systems, Administration, Logistics, Accounts, Education और Meteorology जैसे branches शामिल हैं।
इसके अलावा NCC Special Entry और GATE Score Entry के माध्यम से भी eligible candidates को मौका दिया गया है। GATE Score Entry खास तौर पर technical background वाले candidates के लिए उपयोगी है।
Kaun Apply Kar Sakta Hai?
इस भर्ती के लिए Indian citizen होना जरूरी है। पुरुष और महिला दोनों उम्मीदवार आवेदन कर सकते हैं। Flying Branch के लिए उम्मीदवारों ने 10+2 level पर Physics और Mathematics पढ़ी होनी चाहिए। इसके साथ graduation या BE/B.Tech qualification जरूरी है।
Ground Duty Technical Branch के लिए engineering background वाले उम्मीदवार eligible होते हैं। Aeronautical Engineer Electronics और Mechanical branch के लिए अलग-अलग engineering disciplines मान्य होते हैं।
Ground Duty Non-Technical Branch में Administration, Logistics, Accounts, Education और Meteorology जैसे posts के लिए graduation या post-graduation qualification की जरूरत branch के अनुसार अलग-अलग होती है। इसलिए उम्मीदवारों को अपनी qualification के अनुसार branch carefully select करनी चाहिए।
Age Limit
Flying Branch के लिए उम्मीदवार की age 20 से 24 वर्ष के बीच होनी चाहिए। Commercial Pilot License वाले candidates को upper age relaxation मिल सकता है। Ground Duty Technical और Non-Technical branches के लिए age limit 20 से 26 वर्ष रखी गई है।
Age calculation official notification में दी गई cut-off date के आधार पर होती है। Candidates को अपनी date of birth वही भरनी चाहिए जो 10th certificate में दर्ज है, क्योंकि आगे verification के समय इसी document को valid माना जाता है।
Application Fee
AFCAT entry के लिए candidates को online application fee pay करनी होती है। Fee Rs. 550 + GST रखी गई है। यह fee non-refundable होती है। NCC Special Entry और GATE Score Entry के लिए fee अलग नियमों के अनुसार applicable नहीं होती।
Candidates को payment करते समय transaction details save रखनी चाहिए, क्योंकि future reference के लिए application number और payment proof की जरूरत पड़ सकती है।
Selection Process
Air Force Vacancy 2026 में selection कई stages में होता है। सबसे पहले AFCAT online written exam होता है। Written exam qualify करने वाले candidates को AFSB testing के लिए बुलाया जाता है। AFSB में intelligence test, psychological test, group tasks और interview शामिल हो सकते हैं।
Flying Branch candidates के लिए CPSS यानी Computerized Pilot Selection System भी important होता है। इसके बाद medical examination कराया जाता है। Final merit list written exam, AFSB performance, medical fitness और available vacancies के आधार पर तैयार की जाती है।
NCC Special Entry और GATE Score Entry candidates को written AFCAT exam से exemption मिल सकती है और उन्हें directly AFSB testing के लिए shortlist किया जा सकता है।
Exam Pattern
AFCAT online exam English language में objective type questions के साथ होता है। Exam की duration 2 hours होती है। इसमें कुल 100 questions होते हैं और maximum marks 300 होते हैं।
Exam में General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning और Military Aptitude Test से questions पूछे जाते हैं। हर correct answer पर 3 marks मिलते हैं और wrong answer पर 1 mark deduct होता है। Unattempted questions पर कोई negative marking नहीं होती।
इसलिए candidates को accuracy पर ध्यान देना चाहिए। Guess work ज्यादा करने से negative marking के कारण score कम हो सकता है।
Apply Online Kaise Kare?
जब application window active होती है, candidates को AFCAT official portal पर जाकर registration करना होता है। सबसे पहले candidate को अपना नाम, mobile number, email ID और basic details भरकर account create करना होता है।
इसके बाद login करके personal details, educational qualification, branch preference और exam city preference भरनी होती है। Candidates को photograph, signature और thumb impression upload करना होता है। Form submit करने से पहले preview जरूर check करना चाहिए।
Fee payment के बाद application form final submit हो जाता है। Candidates को submitted form का print या PDF save कर लेना चाहिए।
Zaruri Documents
AFCAT form भरते समय और आगे selection stages में candidates को कुछ जरूरी documents की जरूरत होती है। इनमें 10th certificate, 12th marksheet, graduation marksheets, degree certificate, Aadhaar card, photograph, signature, thumb impression और valid email/mobile details शामिल हैं।
Final year students भी कुछ conditions के साथ apply कर सकते हैं, लेकिन उन्हें prescribed date तक qualification proof submit करना होता है।
Preparation Tips
AFCAT exam crack करने के लिए candidates को सबसे पहले syllabus और exam pattern समझना चाहिए। English section के लिए vocabulary, grammar, comprehension और previous year questions practice करें। General Awareness के लिए current affairs, defence news, history, geography और polity पढ़ें।
Numerical Ability में speed और accuracy बहुत जरूरी है। Reasoning और Military Aptitude के लिए daily practice करें। Mock test देने से time management बेहतर होता है और exam pressure कम होता है।
AFSB की तैयारी के लिए communication skills, confidence, group discussion और personality development पर ध्यान दें। Indian Air Force सिर्फ marks नहीं देखती, बल्कि officer-like qualities भी evaluate करती है।
Important Dates
AFCAT 02/2026 notification release के बाद application process 20 May 2026 से शुरू हुआ था। Official last date 19 June 2026 थी। Online AFCAT exam 08 August 2026 को होना है। Course July 2027 में commence होगा।
